Green H2

Investment Fund with focus on Renewable Energies/Storage/Green H2

Greenvestment, the General Partner (GP) firm, is managing Green H2 Investment Fund that will continue its philosophy of investing its own capital, while opening up opportunities for new investors.

This is a Corporate Venture Capital Fund and has a 10-year lifespan (with a potential extension of 2 years) and will target a maximum fund size of US$300 million, of which US$280 million will be contributed from Strategic LPs (engineering, equipment and EPC) and US$20 million from CORFO, the Government Sponsored Economic Development Agency.

Minimum Limited Partners commitment would be at least US$30 million with an expected 25% annual drawdowns. The main leverages for Limited Partners include a leverage of 1:1 quasicapital commitment from CORFO (can be raised to 1. 5:1 subject to specific milestones); tax benefits1 ; a project finance leverage scheme with up to 50:50 deb-to-equity ratio depending on each particular project; access to Joint Crediting Mechanism2 and/or Green Climate Fund3 , and a portfolio of greenfield projects ready to invest/build.

The main goal is to set up a hands on investment and development fund of greenfield and brownfield non-conventional renewable energy projects (solar plants and wind farms), e-storage and green hydrogen, throughout an active participation, leading to successful returns expected between 2x to 2.5x capital invested over a (average) 5-year holding period.
